Mai Thai (in Washington) "Decent food, cordial atmosphere, good happy hour" November 19, 2007 - The staff is very nice and accomodating (groups of 10-12 with 15 minutes notice) if sometimes forgetful (drink orders.) Love the patio, love the happy hour drink and app specials. Dinner is on par with the standard DC Thai restaurants, and some food is actually a little spicy when so marked. High marks on the calamari and garden rolls for appetizers. |

Osteria Del Galileo (in Washington) "On Lunch" November 19, 2007 - Had a disappointing experience with the lunch special. Several co-workers decided to try out the sandwich specials offered at regular intervals. Sandwiches disappointing, customer service poor (refused credit card payment for $60 order). I hear the cannoli is fab. |

Levante's (in Bethesda) "Overpriced for the fare" November 19, 2007 - Food is okay but not worth the price. The environment is nice, though - you can actually chat over lunch indoors and the patio seating is lovely and spacious. |

Rice (in Washington) "Good Expensive Modern "Thai"" November 19, 2007 - This restaurant's small, crowded dining room and relatively high entree price make is a rare treat. At first, the serving sizes were smaller than average, making the prices even more off-putting. The gimmick that really caught me is the flavoring and coloring of the rices served with he entrees to complement the flavor of the entrees. The green tea menu is awesome. The appetizer menu is a nice twist on a typical Thai menu with some amazing dipping sauces served with the spring rolls. Recommend the Green Tea Pork. Outdoor diing during the summer is also nice, as the indoor acoustics do not make for a quiet meal. |

Pizzeria Paradiso (in Washington) "Tasty Pizza" November 19, 2007 - but rarely worth the wait |
