Sweet Christina's (in Fairfax) "Yum, Yum in My Tum..Go and Eat Some!" January 26, 2008 - Tucked away in a little corner on Main Street in the heart of downtown Fairfax is the sweetest lil' shop you will ever want to encounter.  Any sweeter and it would have gum drops and sugar canes hanging from the eaves of it's covered patio, instead of the lovely blooms that grace the area during the spring and summer. The best recipe for a quick romantic brunch, tea for two, or just a quick, delicious bite...stop in, say hello and pick up a brownie or two!  A red velvet cupcake will stop the munchies in a heartbeat!  Or any of the delectable lunch entrees is a smart choice! (I really enjoyed the portabella mushroom sandwich!)  And, Bonnie (the owner) makes the best sweet tea around..it's actually made from Earl Grey (if you can believe it!!) This tiny shop is a bakery, tea shop, and bistro rolled in one.  The topper is the ever so teeny display case of sweet goodies that greet you on entry!  How can anyone resist?  Well, you can't.  It is so reminiscent of the bakery/bistro's in Mons or Paris...especially the quaint interior. For Valentine's Day, surprise a friend, sweetheart or special Mom or Dad with a trip to Christina's.  They will love you all the more. Plus, it's next door to some great shopping!  Make a day of it.... 2 people like this review - Recommend
